Having 'more than one way to do it' doesn't exclude doing it the hard way.

Advice is an example of the sharing in the Perl community, CPAN is yet another; It is a synergy.

Modules are a repository of common-sense, access to CPAN is arguably beneficial to developers: strive* for access.

I feel there is vindicativeness in your post; as though someone had offended your code and intellect.
