This Perl-driven site is a "babelizer". It shows that although some software is pretty good at translating from one language to another, there is great lossage when you re-translate back, translate to a second language, go back, translate to a third, etc. Kind of like making a copy of a copy of a copy of a VHS tape. The fidelity degrades pretty quickly.

Example: "There is more than one way to do it" becomes "In him it is necessary and one for a form that one." (Sounds almost spiritual, doesn't it!)

    This was a hoot!

    Here are some of the better results I got. Try to guess which phrases (each well-known, at least to me) produced the following "translations":

    • It deceives l'herbe
    • Dispersion of Don't with Roofing tiles
    • it connects the lie of the dogs of the Schlafes
    • Iron of the mold not his branelli before the pigs
    • My commerce of the flight that slips is full with Aalen
    • Gioc this luminous music, man of the target of the boy
    • You in something swum n'est obvious, you are you elasticity
    • There's of aucunes of the commerce appreciates the commerce of the aspect
    • The men give the form very to the rare tickets, this one that take crystals to the girls

    The last one is my favorite.

    That made my day! It seems that the lenght diverges to infinity with the number of translations.

    And after babelisation:
