in reply to running make in cygwin

Personally, I always install everything whenever I install cygwin. But, that's just me. :-)

Then there are Damian modules.... *sigh* ... that's not about being less-lazy -- that's about being on some really good drugs -- you know, there is no spoon. - flyingmoose

I shouldn't have to say this, but any code, unless otherwise stated, is untested

    dragonchild,
I have a full install of everything myself which I update daily. People should be aware that this takes a bit of bandwidth to download and fair amount of free disk space to extract it all. My current Cygwin directory is over 3GB.

    Cheers - L~R

Update: To be clear, this is an FYI and isn't to discourage anyone from installing everything - just giving them a head's up
Which means it cost you less than US$3, plus bandwidth (which is usually paid for on a monthly basis, regardless of transferred amount). Personally, unless I'm administrating a database server, I usually have no idea how big my hard-drive is. I have no clue how big the drive in the laptop I'm typing this on is - only that I haven't had space issues and never expect any.
