I saw this post last night and held off answering because I figured some of the people more knowledgeable than I would respond. Unfortunately, it appears that your stance on being contraversial has been perceived by many as childish and lead them to not taking you seriously. I am still on the fence and so I will offer you some of the concerns that might arise:

• Detecting leading /me and /msg and ensuring they are properly added to the remaining segments
• Correctly closing and opening format tags which AFAICT is not easy
• (Un)intentional abuse.

I am sure there are more issues, but I am neither a devil nor a CB client author. It isn't that these issues can't be overcome, but that they should be given careful consideration prior to implementing any such features.
