in reply to Ninja style coding... is it bad?

How do I really code?

You should code like a samurai. Then if you screw up your code, you can have some redemption in dying well (bravely and with dignity) in seppuku.

As far as I know, sepukku is not brave with dignity.
What you mean is probably harakiri.

    Correct me if I'm wrong

You have it the other way around. You should google it.
Actually, check out Seppuku on Wikipedia: hara-kiri is a vulgar term for the same act.

Coding like a Samurai would involve doing things according to a strict code of conduct and with attention to one's personal morals. A Samurai coder would modify code in the "correct" style regardless of the original code style. If ordered to do otherwise, he might commit seppuku as a moral protest.
