"man perl" is a great place to start (UN*X). typical websites include perl.org, perl.com and perlmonks.org. A simple search for "perl tutorial" in any search engine is sure to get you off to a good start.

    You should probably not refer people to the perl.com web site. Tom hasn't updated it in years and the only material it has on Perl are links to language.perl.com and www.perl.com.

    It's tempting to be lazy and always say "foo.com" when what you really mean is "www.foo.com", but that's not always correct, and in this case it doesn't really work.
