Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

The example code in Audio::Wav::Write generates a simple 200hz tone wav file. But when I played it, there was a poping/clicking noise at the end. Other wav files I've generated have the same problem.

Any idea how to get rid of this?

The click is probably a result of the sound being interrupted in te middle of a waveform. You should try to make it finish at a zero-crossing. No idea on how to achieve that... but setting the length of the sound to an exact multiple of a period, might do the trick.
