My 2002 Chevy Camaro Z28, the last of a breed, since they retired the whole Camaro/Z28/SS in 2002 (after 35 years).

    What is so odd about Portland gas pumping? Inquiring minds want to know!
      Gas stations are self-service in many US states; apparently not so in Oregon (I haven't been there).
        Yes, Oregon forbids self-service stations, just like New Jersey. See section 315 of chapter 480 of our laws, which outline why. Some of the better reasons:
        • The dangers of crime and slick surfaces described in subsection (3) of this section are enhanced because Oregon’s weather is uniquely adverse, causing wet pavement and reduced visibility;
        • Self-service dispensing at retail in other states does not provide a sustained reduction in fuel prices charged to customers;

        I figured he was saying such. Non-self-service died 99.9999% out in North Carolina about, umh, 1986 or so. There is still one old gas station back home that has a lane open (I guess the old people like it) and it is never used. Entirely non-self-serve is looney!
