It seems like it should be easy to eliminate double posts in the following way.

Similar to the time tag that is added automatically to the Newest Nodes page ("pageloadtime" value="974476309"), there could be a similar tag for each page with a 'Submit' button. If two submits are given from same location with the same time then the second one is ignored (or redirected to a querying page)

This will be useful for the ChatterBox as well.

See (tye)RE: Mandatory Preview for Non-editable Nodes for a previous node that points to a previous node that suggests this in more detail. I don't take credit for suggesting this first, BTW.

I'd point directly to the node that already suggested this but then you'd miss the intervening node which had apropos content as well. (:

Ha! you beat me up to it in two months...

I was thinking about it for a long time and was waiting for it to come. The latest double post made me come out and shout.

It seems to me like a simple change of current code (although as mentioned above i'm no guru on the web subject) and was wondering if it is so easy, why isn't it implemented yet?

      (I'm not griping, just curious)

How about we just torture, execute and ban everybody that double-posts?

well, Fastolfe kind of beat me to it, but you would've proved your point much better had you double-posted the actual idea. =]
