Kwiki bears obligatory mention when talking about Perl Wikis; I'm not sure about its support for #2 but keep in mind doing that right across browsers is very hard. I don't know if anyone does it "well enough". | [reply] |

As has already been stated you are going to have difficulty with #2 - if you want WYSIWYG then you don't want a Wiki you want HTML designer software and a content management system. If you still want a Wiki look on CPAN

FWIW, Mediawiki, the software behind wikipedia, is now php, although it used to be perl. Dag nab it! | [reply] |

Yes.
UseMod makes old versions of a page into one page (with extension ".kp").
Despite not save complete version history, circumstantially can have many versions (eg if many frequently updates) and creates thus a very large file ".kp".
(Sorry, my mother-tongue is spanish).

Interesting. Do you know why they switched to PHP?

No, I did google around a bit originally as I was curious myself, but didn't find anything real meaty. You can google on
mediawiki "perl until"
and that gets you "... As an example of Perl in action, Wikipedia itself was a CGI script written in Perl
until January 2002. ..." ... and that's as far as I got. Maybe you'll have better luck. | [reply] [d/l] |

I'll add another plug for twiki. Plus, it supports the htmlArea utility for WYSIWYG editing.

as gellyfish correctly states, if you want wiki formatting than having WYSIWYG is rather silly. But i guess you want wiki for the fact that anybody can edit any page. You want half wiki and half CMS. | [reply] |

It's also helpful if someone has rudely placed you in charge of maintaining some old documentation composed in html. Especially old html documentation that was obviously composed just after someone purchased their copy of CSS for Dummies and wanted to try out every example in the book...
/me grumbles about that happening to him...
