Rather than trying to deal with HTML, perhaps Text::WikiFormat or Template::Plugin::KwikiFormat would be an acceptable solution?

if you can count to 10 without using your fingers, yes, thats true i'm not entirely convinced that the average internet user can count to 5 even using their fingers though...	[reply]
