I have 2 votes left today. I've voted on about 3 things, and should have dozens left. Has anyone else seen a problem?

Update: Sorry, should have been clearer:

I've voted on 3 posts today, and only have 2 votes left. Apparently my votes have not been reset from previous days, where I've voted on a few posts in the preceding few days. If my votes haven't been reset in a week, it's possible that I'd be down to 2 votes. I'll go and find some worthy posts, and see what happens.

...OK, I'm voted out. I'll wait until tomorrow and see if I get more votes.

Maybe you have been forgotten by the vote fairy.

    Excerpt from Voting/Experience System:
    • The vote fairy is a little forgetful though, and somebody always gets forgotten and doesn't get their votes or bonuses for the day.
We've never heard of the vote fairy forgetting anyone two days in a row, but you never know. :-)

But it would be very unlikely to not receive votes within a few days unless the vote fairy got annoyed for some reason we don't know :-(

    Update:
Strange, I just visited your home node and it says 'Last here: Apr 17, 2005 at 16:11 CEST (4 weeks ago)'

If one pretends not to be here, then the vote fairy thinks there is no way one could have used up one's votes and one doesn't get new votes.

QM needs to stop using a "ticker" login cookie if QM wants to get more votes.

Don't remember reading that in the About the PerlMonks FAQ.

Is there any purpose to this behavior? Or is it just that the login is short circuited at the point where the "Other Users" list is updated, which happens to come before vote distribution?

Keep in mind that depending on your timezone, and where your username fits into the overall "vote fairy" batch, your vote reset time can be many hours (and many minutes) off from your local 12:00am midnight.

I, for example, seem to reset every night somewhere between 10:18pm and 10:28pm (I haven't pinpointed it exactly). That's Pacific Daylight Time. During Pacific Standard Time, it's an hour earlier for me. So if I use all my votes after 9:30pm, I won't have fresh votes again until the following night, after 9:20ish pm.

For the heck of it, I gave you and upvote. I went from 39 to 38 votes. Doesn't prove anything, of course.
