Hello again, Monks.

I figured this would be the most appropriate place to post.

I recently read the article in Opensource Developers Journal regarding perl 6 , which was essentially an interview with Larry regarding the direction perl will be taking. I know there is the perl5-porters list, but interview seemed to indicate that this is not where perl 6 was being discussed. Its a classic error on the part of programmers to either look at something and say theyre not good enough or to look at something and think theyre much better than they are. In this case, I dont think I am enough of a C guru to hack at perl's internals. But I would like to know where perl is going since I use its advanced, developmental features every day. This would prevent me from having to completely rewrite modules when perl 6 (or 5.8.0) comes out.

Because of the article, I understand the RFC system. I dont want to submit one, but it would be nice if I could join a mailing list for discussion of these RFC's and just, well, lurk.

Could somebody lead me in the right direction to sort of peek in on the group developing perl 6?

Finally I guess, is there a place for the discussion of the perl (not necessarily the PM) community?

Thanks,
dep.

Also use Perl reports the latest news, when there is any.
