I don't know what an NMS server is, I have no idea what a "discovery engine" is. What I do know is that microperlis not for generic use by the public, it is only intended as a core to build miniperl on, and eventually, a real perl system. XML output? Forget it.

What is more reasonable to expect, is getting away with something like Tinyperl, which is as small as is practically feasable, or something put together using perl2exe, PerlApp, or PAR.

What is not reasonable, is stating upfront that "it must work with microperl".

p.s. updated after I discivered that microperl is actually even smaller than miniperl, which I had mixed up.

    Welcome Varghees to the Monastery.

You are new here, so we will be lenient, but you should really read [id://The Perl Monks Guide to the Monastery] and [id://How (Not) To Ask A Question].

Now go and read these and come back once you have done so and ask your question again (do this as an update to your original question, not as a new node).
