You can use Win32::ODBC but you are then restricting yourself to a M$ platform, possibly not much of a restriction but DBI is pretty simple to use. If the module was not found then you can download it from cpan , there is a nice searchable interface here . If you want to go direct to the DBI home page look here You will need the ODBC module DBD::ODBC to connect to sqlserver. This may sound a more cumbersome route but it will mean that your code will be nice and generic. You will only have to write DBI code (which is nice as DBI is nice).
