in reply to Perl gets to compete after all

OK, now is beginning of November, do you know if the Perl community will be able to submit at least 3 teams for the plat_forms contest ? If not, this would be a very bad signal to the world about Perl development.

Personnally I am currently working within my organisation (Etat de Genève) to convince the management to allocate resources for sending a team to the contest. We have a major internal project on Catalyst and a good (brand new) team, so the contest is an interesting challenge and incentive for us, and I guess the management will be OK.

But this will only work if there are fellow Perl teams in the contest. Any other Catalysters ? or some Perl mongers from other frameworks (Jifty, CGI::Application, whatever) ? Any other places where the Perl community discusses about this ?

Best regards, L. Dami

Not quite... it just means everybody doing Perl is pretty busy with their jobs, which means the market is great O:-)

OK, there are no Cobol teams either, I guess they are pretty busy too, and for sure the market is great for Cobol !
