how can i log into perlmonks with a telnet session to port 80

Hi monks!
Please tell me this : how can i log into perlmonks with a telnet session to port 80 ? I'm confused about the "action=?" in the source . I could use WWW::Mechanize to login but i would like to know how to do it with telnet .

In other words, you're wondering about HTTP GET requests. `GET /?node_id=587485 HTTP/1.0 Host: perlmonks.org Cookie: userpass=you'llhavetofindoutforyourself` [download] Should work if you aready have a session cookie. it just means it's posting to the current page without any get parameters you just need to post your login creds and `node_id=` and `op=login` just like the form suggests the idea is that in perl monks, you can login to while viewing a node, without having to go off to another login page, and loose where you were Nautrally, remembering the cookie is going to be a pain if you're accessing pages via telnet... `@_=qw; ask f00li5h to appear and remain for a moment of pretend better than a lifetime;;s;;@_[map hex,split'',B204316D8C2A4516DE];;y/05/os/&print;`	[reply] [d/l] [select]
