Firstly you can install MP4::Info by typing the following from a command prompt:

ppm install http://trouchelle.com/ppm/MP4-Info.ppd

There is also MP3::Info (install as above, substituting the module name). Regards the video files section of your question a quick search of CPAN returns Video::Info, I have never used this however it may be what you need.

holli's great tutorial A guide to installing modules for Win32 mentions using PPM::Repositories, as well as other interesting topics, such as 'Manual Installation'. If you have not seen this it may be useful for you to have a look.

10x for your help. I tryied to broaden my search by adding repositories but it didn't help. As I wrote, the MP3 or MP4 Info modules supplies insufficient parameters. Do you know any good video parser? Ron	[reply]

ronferens, Perhaps I am getting confused here, but in your first post you said that MP3::Info was a good example of what you are looking for. Did you check out the Video::Info module I mentioned previously? Perhaps if you explain exactly what you want to do (what sort of details you want from each media type for example...) then we can be more helpful. Hope this helps. Martin	[reply]
