I'm glad the particular post mentioned stayed around. I wouldn't have read it if not for this thread, but it was a real "hoot". The who-does-he-think-he-is line about merlyn was particularly fun.

So I would vote for a place to keep these little obnoxious gems where they won't bother people, but are still available FYA (For Your Amusement), as suggested in the recent Perl at play? thread. On the other hand, I'm not at all sure that it's worth the effort, or that it wouldn't degenerate.
