    Just replace the <DATA> by any filehandle pointing to your .rpt file and the program should run as advertised.

    perldoc perlopentut will tell you all about it.

    You seem to have a habit of posting follow-up questions like this and this without any apparent attempts on your part to find what are trivial solutions. I am coming to the conclusion that you are taking the mickey.
