Try:
'dbi:Oracle:IHRLIVE', $uname, $password, ...
or
'dbi:Oracle:IHRLIVE.WORLD', $uname, $password, ...

to match with SID=IHRLIVE in TNSNAMES

I should have mentioned I keep messing with these... Have you also tried `'dbi:Oracle:ihr-live.WORLD'`?	[reply] [d/l]
