I am somewhat confused by the voting system. According to Voting/Experience System, there should be +/- radio boxes I can click to vote a response up or down.

I may be smoking crack, but I cannot seem to find those buttons anywhere on the page. What have I missed?

If you look at Voting/Experience System you need to have 20 experience votes before you are alloted any votes for a given day. When you reach 20 XP points you will receieve 5 votes a day until you level up.

Yeah, so keep posting and you'll get there.
Your XP/writeups ratio is over 1 at the moment, so you're doing a good job.

OK - but I have been wondering that same thing and:
      1. There has always been a 'vote' button (no + or - buttons)
      2. I've just crept over the XP boundary and still no + or - buttons
      3. I am logged in
So, should the 'vote' button disappear if the '+' or '-' buttons disappear (on account of not being logged in or not having enough XP)?

Should I just be patient and wait for the more senior (or prolific :-) members of the order to notice my new XP and manually enable voting?

Votes are given out at 8:07 UTC so when you go up a level you will have to wait until the next time votes are allocated to receive them.
On a similar note, I've noticed that I still have a "Vote" button even when all my votes are used up and there are no voting radio buttons present.

Apparently you cannot vote on Anonymous Monk notes and questions, either. I'd hate to lose my Saintly status to h(im|er)!
