without know the type of system it is, it's hard to be specific. I'll make the assumption it's a *nix of some kind. in that case, you should be able to find all of the materials above on the web. the real trick will be having the correct access. if you're not root, it'll be hard to install some of these (gcc in particular).

some places to look for gcc, make etc.

    It's a Debian Linux server, and I cannot get root. I guess it wouldn't be too hard to find x86 Linux binaries of gcc. Thanks for the links.
