Since Win32::Printer module is listed as discontinued is there a better replacement?

I'm a bit lost. Where does it say this module is discontinued? I just had a look at Win32::Printer (on CPAN) and didn't see anything in the documentation.

At first I thought it was vapourware, but is seems like it's been around for a while. If you're currently using it, you still can. If you're not, it might just work as is anyway. If you ask around, you might find someone who already uses it a lot, and might want to take over maintenance.

The ABSTRACT section starts with the characters "DISCONTINUED!!!", which is not the first place I would have looked either.

There is Printer which claims to work on both Windows and multiple Unix platforms.

If you're using an lpd-compatible print server or a network printer with one built in, Net::Print might be worth looking over on Win32.

Win32::CLR might be of help if you know how to print a document from the common language runtime (which I don't).

    No.
