Probably not the best title i could chose, but i woke up this morning and logged myself on. I use iGoogle as a home page, and I have word of the day and quote of the day widgets on them. Check out what they say:

Word of the day
hubris: overbearing pride or presumption.

Quote of the day
There art two cardinal sins from which all others spring: Impatience and Laziness. - Franz Kafka

OK ... which one of you's is working at Google? :P

While your post was indeed funny (it got and audible laugh out of me), what caught my attention was your signature. I immediately started tapping out the paradiddle on the arms of the chair and the high-hat rhythm with my feet on the floor.

Ever since the first time I saw it. Can't get both the left and right foot together , though.

This signature will be ready by Christmas

If your iGoogle morning affirmation starts coming up with things like: Perl: the Markov chain saw ... then we really know we have a Perl embed in Google land.

    Update:

I've dumped the original content from this node because it must have wound up a few people. Sorry.

I got the wrong end of the stick. I thought the point of the original post was having the same feeling as Dirk Gently in "The Long Dark Teat-time of the Soul", where his horoscope (written by The Great Zaganza) is always written to wind him up because the horoscope writer is an old friend. (Quoted here.)

If you haven't read them before, the two Dirk Gently books (Douglas Adams) are certifiably funny and worth a read if you ever encounter them. (More so than my original comment, and better spelt too.)

You know ... looking back over my post -- i fail to see where i stated or implied that any of this had anything to do with me other than it was something i observed and felt was neat enough to share.

By the way ... Did you mean: presumptuous?
