Anonymous Monk is who owns all postings by people who are not logged on. It's not one single user.

However it seems that you have the tendency to insult those who want to help you, just because somebody didn't give the answer you wanted (and a very reasonable answer, at that). (That said, if there's somebody insulting you, chances are that the postings will get deleted.)

So please think about your own behaviour before you complain about other people's behaviour. Nobody gets paid here to write code for you - if somebody helps you it's all volunteer's work.

In German there's a nice word called Geisterfahrer, the translation would be motorist driving against the traffic on motorways.

Metaphorically speaking I see just one Geisterfahrer, you see plenty of them. Does that tell you anything about your direction of driving?

Gawd, I love German. They put together nouns like the Chinese do pictograms. So "time spirit" is the essence of an era, but "spirit driver" means going against the grain. I'm trying to figure out what that tells of the German psyche.	[reply]

I believe that, etymologically, the word is more related to ghost/phantom/illusion (although there is some overlapping semantics with spirit, of course) — in the sense that, under normal circumstances (if everyone abided by the traffic rules) Geisterfahrer should not exist. So, in the unexpected and (hopefully) rare event that you happen to encounter one, you might at first actually feel like you can't trust your eyes, i.e. seeing a ghost or phantom...	[reply]
