Those are truly golden words. I noticed that many geeks, like myself, have hard time figuring out what is ethically, socially, and emotionally acceptable, what is a norm, and are reacting inadequately in otherwise normal debates. In essence, your message is "grow up", but what also matters is not only the message, but the confident and positive tone you chose. I personally really wish there were more people who would tolerate my inadequacies, and provide guidance, so the process of my own growing up would not be that painful.
