    That is not true. I understand the seriousness of the board here and would not try to waste people's time. I run a legitimate portal on a dedicated server with a static IPs. I will add an spf record for the domain and will set the return-path/reply-to in the messages. We have about 30,000 subscribers . We need to send monthly news letters etc. All I need is the right perl module to use instead of sendmail directly, and that I am able to set the right mail headers. I was hoping to save some time. So I am seeking advice from people who know.

      Do it, and come back after the record has propagated through the DNS.

      Don't send mails from your CGI on your web server, ask your provider/hoster for an existing mail server and let that server handle the mail delivery. The provider's/hoster's mail server usually has a better "reputation", which leads to a reduced number of false spam reports.
