Frankly, stackoverflow is great for everything NOT perl. It can't remotely compare to the "editorial quality" of Perlmonks, and you can't even go trolling for long threads, for it isn't even threaded. However it sure makes Perlmonks interface feel antiquated. Ah, Web 2.0 glitters...

    You are 100% accurate here. I keep trying stack overflow for all it's coolness, ajaxy goodness, badges, etc. It makes me wish perlmonks had a little more modern interface stuff, but in the end I just come back here. The site content is much better and so is the culture.

    On the other hand, you don't get brian d. foy editing every single page here.
