The blinding glow of a perl
Radiating like sunshine off the ocean
With beatuy greater than any guy named Earl
It's usefeullness is an unquestioned notion
If you decide to give it a whirl
You won't need any special kind of potion
Just pick up a book titled Perl

    Do not give perl a whirl
Cause it will make you twirl
Like a cancer it will unfurl
Multiplying till you hurl
From exaustion and from pain
And the glow of the dot pitch pane
Your thoughts it will consume
Till you are a sleepless buffoon
With POD forever you will swoon
