Correcting the case on the word Perl seems like the typical needless greater than thou attitude that detracts from adoption. Why not lighten up a little? As it is an acronym I would imagine an argument could be made that capitalization of all the characters is not completely unheard of.

You'll surprised how much programming in Objective-C will remind you of programming in Perl: the syntax is different, but both languages are highly dynamic, and have built-in data structures that can be used in very similar ways.

Cocoa is an amazingly elegant framework, and worth learning if for no other reason than to pick up some useful and important ways to think about design.
