    Not at all; the anything resembling a real parser can distinguish between the infix and standalone forms of the operator.

    Update: I missed the topic of parsers which are not Perl 5 itself.

      The topic was lexing editors. Mine uses PPI, so it could distinguish between the two forms of ..., but simpler lexers might have problems.
      but lexing editors could detect it and create a TODO task for it.
