I posted a reply to kill a process with process name, but after hitting <create> I lost connection (the site was very slow at the time). I refreshed the screen and it came back to the original node. My post is in my list of writeups Re: kill a process with process name and it appeared in "Newest Nodes", however it did not appear as a reply to the question and my reply does not say "in reply to...". I therefore tried to resubmit it and got caught by NodeReaper saying it was a duplicate post.

What did I do wrong?

Update: A very nice GrandFather reparented the node.

Replies are listed 'Best First'.

Maybe the mistake you're makin' is that you're mistaken. :-)

I don't see any recently reaped nodes matching your description. What was the node ID of the node in question? The reply of yours to which you linked — Re: kill a process with process namedoes appear as a reply to its parent.

What is the sound of Windows? Is it not the sound of a wall upon which people have smashed their heads... all the way through?

It was without a parent, likely due to a DB hiccup, but it has been reattached to its parent by now.

So cdarke's conclusion that there were two posts, one of which was reaped, was incorrect?
