Except that he wasn't getting any data back. The LongTruncOk was false, so the query failed returning no rows. Jenda Enoch was right! Enjoy the last years of Rome.	[reply]

ok, so LongTruncOk was false but unless the OP had also disabled PrintError and RaiseError he should have got a "String data, right truncation" error. The only point I was attempting to make was that a little bit more information here would not have hurt.	[reply]

Could you clarify as this may be a bug. You got no error or warning at all, you got no rows and you had not disabled PrintError/RaiseError but simply increasing LongReadLen returned a row?	[reply]
