in thread How to build a tcp session with a remote server?

Well, if you follow your link you will see that you are not correct. TCP is a transport layer protocol, IP is a network (or following RFC 1122 terminology Internet) layer protocol. Also, there is no such thing as TCP/IP connection, TCP/IP is suite of protocols of different levels. Moving bits from host A to host B is the task for Internet layer, transport layer provides end-to-end communication between applications.

let's stop this RFC 1122 stuff - it has nothing to do with what the Original Poster (OP) wants to do. We can argue these spec terminology details til the cows come home later, but that was not the question.

My question to the OP is: tell me what you expect to send to this server and what do you expect for it to send back? I am sure that the Monks can help the OP write code to do that.

Somehow we've gotten onto a hyper technical terminology thing that has no practical significance for the OP whatsoever.
