Replacement for Google Code Search?

LanX has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

To my great surprise GCS was shut down, and Google Code hosting doesn't seem to have a Perl label.

As a workaround I'm googling something like

to seek thru CPAN sources. š

But this has limitations, stemming from Google's interpretation of word boundaries.

Any alternative suggestions?

Like http://perl5.git.perl.org/perl.git?a=search&h=HEAD&st=grep&s= I'm sure there is an equivalent for github/gitpan But frankly, I've never needed more than google://site:search.cpan.org	[reply]

I use Google's filetype option because there's a surprising amount of Perl code not on CPAN: (filetype:pl OR filetype:pm) + ... Too bad DDG doesn't support this, even though they claim they do.	[reply]
