If I use absolute values such as move ("/ TagReader/01 Casper - XOXO.mp3", "/ TagReader / Casper - Casper xoxo/01 - XOXO.mp3"); it works. Therefore, I should already have the authority.

re 3: How about creating (with Perl) a dir with a space in its name?

re 1: Maybe, but I'm not entirely persuaded. In your new example, you're creating a subdir in a dir that's CWD; in your code, you appear to be moving from CWD to a new drive -- is that correct?

I create a folder with the name of the artist and album. I want to move the mp3 file to the newly created folder.

I move the file into a subdirectory, not in a new drive.

I have spoken of creating a folder in windows.

But I dont know if I understood you correctly.
or, quote possibly, I didn't understand your "i dont now but i think no.
if i creat a folder i can write a name with a space between
        "

Do you mean that you created a new folder and then named with a name that includes one or more spaces? If so -- and if your entire process is working from some subdir ( / TagReader/ ?) -- my question is answered but I am out of ideas.

Maybe later. I'll check back if you reply.
