Sounds like a browser bug.

Nope. When the browser posts, the content is clean. When it comes back it has been appended to.

Probably something to do with the PM "bad html" highlighting stuff.

(After first preview this post had '/div' appended to it, which I've deleted.)

(Add a little more to the post and preview again and suddenly 'Social' is appended - deleted.)

Definitely that end...

is this report based on a packet capture? It was; but is not reproducible. And it turns out that it is an Opera bug. Sorry for the misinformation.
