in reply to Donation page

http://donate.perlfoundation.org is maintained by the Perl NOC team, you could address your concerns to them. Previously (Way back machine link) there was a listing of specific 'Fund drive' donations.

Update: Of course the Offering Plate will need to be updated to cater for the changes. Thanks for pointing this out.

I'm aware of this, one of the issues Loops raised was "Even with the link manually corrected, there doesn't seem to be anywhere on http://donate.perlfoundation.org that shows the current funding level for perlmonks.org. Maybe someone with edit capability could take a look?", "not where can I donate?" as the link is clearly on the right hand side.

Here's my big concern/question: The Donate form has a menu, "Choose where your gift will be used" -- and none of the choices is PerlMonks. The closest would be "Perl Community", I suppose; but even then, how does one have any idea or confidence that any funds they donate will be used for this site?

Unless that is cleared up, I think the wording of Offering Plate should be drastically amended to avoid suggesting that contributes to TPF will in any way benefit PerlMonks.

I reckon we are the only monastery ever to have a dungeon stuffed with 16,000 zombies.

Yeah, seeing the funding level would be nice. Otherwise, it feels like dropping coins into the ether and hoping they land in the right place.
