First, consider carefully the three answers you've already received, the last of which may even become relevant in light of the new spec you added in your previous node. And then consider how to deal with multiple pairs of cell references in a sub called from a loop. Re your reference to using regexen as a "workaround," IMO, "copy and paste" sounds like a more labor intensive workaround. Finally, have you read the doc for `Win32::OLE` carefully? I don't know, offhand, that there's an example of how to solve your problem or something similar in that doc if, indeed, `Win32::OLE` natively supports what you're seeking. IIRC, M$ uses the term "adjust" for such a (single) operation.	[reply] [d/l] [select]
