However, the fact remains that the comments about perlcc in the OP's URL are absolutely untrue regarding its buggy and unmaintained state.

    So you didn't read my post, tell me I'm not quoting people accurately despite it being a literal cut and paste yet you claim I'm the one who is confused and has an inaccurate understanding of what's being said? :P

    These statements may have been true at the time of writing, obviously things can move on. As I'm sure you're aware a great deal of content online is no longer accurate. If this is the case and it is recommended for production use shouldn't the section of the documentation I quote be updated to reflect reality?
