Though wikipedia provides a list of fjords of the United States and a list of fiords of New Zealand there is no such list for Australia :-( ... though I see Britannica claims Port Davey as one ... so I'm not very confident on how to correctly pronounce fjord because I rarely hear it spoken here. Though I thoroughly enjoyed a recent boat trip through the breathtaking Milford Sound in nearby New Zealand, I doubt I'll ever make it to Port Davey due to its extreme inaccessibility. :-(	[reply]

Apparently it's still occasionally written "fiord" in New Zealand. At least autocorrection accepted° this without complaining. Not in English. What we do see is the use of 'j' in place of 'i' when that 'i' is functioning more like a consontantal 'y'. For example, eject from Latin eiectus	[reply]
