this obligatory identity reveal will be seen as a cost, and thus will be a disincentive.

I think that's part of the charm of it. You an upvote once anonymously as at present but if you think it's a really great node and don't mind others knowing you think that then you can give it the bonus. Sounds ideal to me.

    Who's name is displayed if more than one person doubles down on the same post? Or would you want a list?

      A list would be fine. It wouldn't have to be fully displayed in the normal view - the node could simply have a "some monks have double-voted this" message as a link to the list of names.
