I know this may seem sorta goofy, but why does your own nick come up in the "Other" Users nodelet? I know this seems a bit picky, but the reason I pose this question is that it's a great way for the XP whores (read me) to go, "let's see who's ahead of me...hmmm...it's blah...how can I get XX more XP? Hmmm..." ...(devious refreshing and contemplation of SoPW follows this stage usually). Of course, I could just disable it, but I would eventually turn it back on because I am an addict.

Speaking of which, I believe we ought to establish a PM XP Whores Anonymous. Of course, I just may need a vacation. If you feel obligated to ++ this node, please save your gracious XP gift for someone else. Of course, -- are always disappointing but welcome :-P

Your name probably shows up because no one's ever really thought to exclude it. It's pretty easy to change.

As for worrying about your XP level, you can always just send a message to gods asking to be reset to zero. That's also easy!

Or visit thepen ;) Still, chromatic's suggestion might save you from a repetitive stress injury, since thepen will only reduce XP by five...

Actualy, there is a good reason for that. The contents of the nodelet is somwhat expensive to generate, so it's cached, and the caching takes place across all users -- thus, it can't be different depending on what user is looking at it.

Sure, the name is a bit inaccurate, but who really cares.

We could just re-title the nodelet to "Logged-in Users" or some such. Presto, problem fixed!

If you can't change the code, change the requirements. ;-)

Healthy competition is always good. First thing required is to see where you are and where your opponents are and hence what you see as a bug or probelm should be the must part of the monastery.

Remember: Your XP doesn't reflect your current knowledge, you have to get more XP. :-)
