Note depth and threshold

Sometimes I get a message that some nodes below my chosen level is not shown. Then I changed "Note depth" at the "preferences" page to 99999.

Then I don't get the text of some nodes displayed, without clicking to a special view for that node. So I change "Note Threshold" to "-5" (a la slashdot), from previously empty.

Now I don't get the text of any nodes beside top level. So I cange to "0". Now it's like before I put a value there at all. How do I get all nodes text to show?

Node Threshold should be a positive number. Try "5", or "1000". e-mail neshura	[reply]

Setting it to 20 is more than enough - I've never seen a page go that deep (or if one does, it's a couple of people being silly and/or off-topic as they spiral deeper and deeper into their "nests")	[reply]

OK, so my conceptual mistake was that I thought threshold had to do with the current reputation of the post, and not its nesting level. /jeorgen	[reply]
