Setting it to 20 is more than enough - I've never seen a page go that deep (or if one does, it's a couple of people being silly and/or off-topic as they spiral deeper and deeper into their "nests")

    OK, so my conceptual mistake was that I thought threshold had to do with the current reputation of the post, and not its nesting level.
