    Don't need to know Perl :)

    $ for MP3 in *.lol; do mv $MP3 ${MP3%.lol}; done;
    --

      True, but it's a little harder to do in a windows enviroment, which was the case.

        I think it's even easier from within a DOS shell ;) Please test this, for I have no win32 clients here:

        c:\ rename *.lol *
        --
        b10m

    By far the best mp3/wma tag/name editor I have seen so far (and I am the proud owner of a legal copy.) Renaming MP3 files, changing ID3 tags, getting ID3 tags from filenames, blah blah blah, whatever you can think of, piece of cake, done in 2 seconds.
