Hi. I went to the URL:
http://www.rainer-keuchel.de/wince/perlce.htm and it gives me a not found error.

Anyway, I would suspect that the Perl IDE does not come with Perl itself and you _may_ have to install a Windows Perl such as ActiveState Perl or other Win32 Perl Binary Distribution, or compile Perl yourself in Win32. The first option is probably the easiest and quickest for most Windows users.

    Oh i see... I thought i could write and compile my perl scripts using PERLIDE...

    looks like you've got a network issue...url works fine here.
    the hardest line to type correctly is: stty erase ^H
