in thread Proposal for a Perl 6 section?

In the meantime, it seems that PM is not just the best place to discuss Perl 6 related stuff...

Depending on what you mean by "discuss", I disagree, strongly. PerlMonks is the place to talk about anything Perl. (OTOH, if by "discuss" you mean work out the actual design or implementation of Perl 6, then, no; but we don't do that for Perl 5 here either.)

Put another way: if AJAX, PDL, SQL, OS quirks, network protocols, file formats, and the general business of making software aren't too far off topic for this site, then surely the next generation of Perl itself shouldn't be.

A word spoken in Mind will reach its own level, in the objective world, by its own weight

Yes, of course: take my claim cum grano salis. The point is that there are many Perl resources, and there are other places I, and others, prefer to discuss specific topics even if there are overlappings and some of them would be appropriate for several of such places. I have been posting myself questions and comments here that would be better fit for p6l, only that I can't be there any more. I could push your point even further, to the point that occasionally we do discuss the design and implementation of Perl 5, in which case hopefully some bystanding p5p'er will either answer "patches welcome", or explain why it's a bad idea... ;-)
